"Support to Health" Public Union negotiated to cooperate with Kenyan NGOs

Meeting between Azerbaijani and Kenyan NGOs held in Nairobi Tomorrow, the UN Civil Society Conference for 2024 will begin in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. Ahead of the global event, a meeting was held between a number of Azerbaijani and Kenyan NGOs on May 8. The meeting was attended by Charlene Ruto, the “Climate Action Champion”, “Youth Champion”, founder of the “Smachs Foundation” in Kenya, daughter of the President of the Republic of Kenya, Margaret Kiogora, Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Council of Kenya, and a number of leaders of the National Council of Kenya NGOs. They were especially interested in COP29 and expressed their full confidence that this prestigious event will be successfully held under the leadership of Azerbaijan. At the meeting, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Kenya Sultan Hajiyev, member of the COP29 Organizing Committee, Executive Director of the State Support Agency for NGOs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Aygun Aliyeva and the Agency's representative Turkan Alasgarova, Department Head of the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan Nigar Huseynova, member of the COP29 Organizing Committee, Executive Director of the "Support to Health" Public Union Parvana Valiyeva, Deputy Chairman of the "Experts in the Field of Water Use" Public Union Amin Mammadov, Deputy Chairman of the "Azerbaijan Campaign Against Landmines" Public Union Roza Safikhanli provided detailed information about Azerbaijan's green agenda. A number of cooperation issues between Azerbaijani NGOs and African NGOs were discussed at the meeting.
